Metaldehyde is a highly selective molluscicide. 6% Mita, light blue appearance, softened in water, has a special fragrance, has a strong attraction. When the snail is attracted by the attractant and feeds or comes into contact with the agent, a large amount of acetylcholinesterase is released in the snail body, destroying the special mucus in the snail body, causing rapid dehydration of the snail body, nerve paralysis, and secreting mucus. Due to the loss of a large number of body fluids and the destruction of cells, the snail and the slugs are poisoned and die in a short time.
