Function	Thidiazuron is a highly active phenylurea plant growth regulator with dual cytokinin- and auxin-like properties. At low concentrations (ppm level), it promotes cell division and enlargement, significantly increases fruit set, accelerates assimilate translocation to fruits, and enhances yield and quality. At higher concentrations, it induces abscission layer formation in petioles, serving as a defoliant for cotton and other crops prior to mechanical harvesting, and also exhibits herbicidal activity. is widely applied in fruit trees, vegetables, field crops, and tissue culture.
